Escalating violence in Israel and the occupied Palestinian Territories is again in the world’s spotlight. Whitley’s Associate Professor of Theology, Rev Dr Jason Goroncy, has compiled a list of statements from Christian communities and ecumenical bodies. The list reflects a diversity of approaches and viewpoints, though most are a visible expression of the desire to end discord, division, fear, and violence, particularly on the part of those whose lives are marked by the struggle.
