Prerequisites
All Students:
Requires at least one unit in each of Field B, C & D.
Requires interview with, and approval of pastoral placement by the Director of Field Education.
This unit would be taken toward the end of an undergraduate/postgraduate award, seeking to integrate theological learnings with practice.
Undergraduate: Must be taken in conjunction with DP3069W or XP3069W in consecutive semesters.
Postgraduate: Must be taken in conjunction with DP9069W in consecutive semesters.

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this unit, it is expected that students will be able to:
Undergraduate
- Design ministry learning and personal development goals as demonstration of intentionality in ministry.
- Articulate core aspects of personal operational theology.
- Constructively critique feedback on ministry practice from members of a congregation or agency, peers and supervisor.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the ethical standards and processes involved in pastoral practice.
- Evaluate their ministry approach and pastoral practice alongside their theological understandings.
- Demonstrate an integrated understanding of Child Safeguarding and Professional Ministry Standards.
Postgraduate
- Formulate ministry learning and personal development goals as demonstration of intentionality in ministry.
- Articulate core aspects of their operational theology, identifying the sources and experiences that formed their theological framework.
- Constructively critique feedback on ministry practice from members of a congregation or agency, peers and supervisor.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the ethical standards and processes involved in pastoral practice, identifying safeguarding approaches to leadership and care.
- Evaluate their ministry approach and pastoral practice alongside their theological understandings.
- Articulate personal theological understandings and integrate their insights into their ministry practice.
- Demonstrate an integrated understanding of Child Safeguarding and Professional Ministry Standards.
