Every journey into theological study begins somewhere.
For some, it begins with a calling to ministry. For others, with questions, curiosity, a desire to deepen faith, or a longing to better understand the world and their place within it. Often, one of the most influential parts of that discernment journey is hearing the story of someone who has walked the path before them.
At Whitley College, we are deeply grateful to the students and alumni who have previously shared their experiences with our community. Your honesty, reflection, and generosity have already encouraged others who are discerning theological study and wondering whether Whitley could be part of their journey, too.
Again and again, prospective students tell us how powerful it is to hear real stories from real people. Stories help people see that theology is not simply academic study. It is formation. It is community. It is wrestling with questions, growing in understanding, and discovering new ways to engage faithfully with the world.
Your story may help someone realise they are not alone in their questions or uncertainty. It may help someone imagine what study could look like alongside work, ministry, family, or everyday life. It may even give someone the confidence to take a next step they have been quietly considering for a long time.
We would love to hear from current students and alumni who are willing to share their Whitley experience.
Stories may be featured across the Whitley website, social media, newsletters, and other communications to help others better understand the heart of the Whitley community and the diverse ways people are shaped through study.
If you would like to participate, we invite you to respond to a short series of questions and send through a photo of yourself to accompany your story.
Thank you for continuing to help others discover and understand the good news through your lived experience and witness.
