Rev Associate Professor Darrell Jackson

Bio:

Darrell grew up in the Isle of Man and was ordained to Baptist ministry in 1989. Educated at London School of Theology, the University of Birmingham, the University of Gloucestershire, and Melbourne Business School, he has lectured at theological colleges in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, and Oceania. He has been employed by Redcliffe College, UK, Morling College, NSW, and has been on the staff of Whitley College since 2019.

Darrell’s ministry experience includes a pastorate followed by eleven years denominational ministry within the Baptist Union GB, including eight as the National Mission Advisor. He was the Executive Researcher for the Conference of European Churches and the founding Director of the Nova Research Centre, Redcliffe College. He has been involved in full-time theological education for over twenty years.

He serves as the Chair of the Baptist World Alliance’s Commission for Baptist Doctrine and Christian Unity and Vice-Chair of European Christian Mission International.

He is the former Secretary of the Australian Association for Mission Studies, a former member of the WEA Mission Commission, among other voluntary roles held over the years.

His wife, Beth, is the Head of Mission and Head of Ordination at the Baptist Union of Victoria.
