As Assistant to the Academic Dean, Karen supports the academic team in units management, timetabling, lecturer accreditation, and student admissions, enquiries, and enrolment.
Karen gained experience in operational support when, nearing her 20th year as a government lawyer in the Philippines, she dabbled in the areas of good and services procurement, personnel complaints, client relations, protocol, and liaising, as her way of slowing down. She retired a couple of years later, moved to Australia, and by the end of 2017, had joined Whitley where she enjoys doing back of office support.
Karen is a Course Advisor and holds a Graduate Diploma in Migration Law. She attends Grovedale Baptist Church in Geelong with her husband and two adult sons.
