Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this unit, it is expected that students will be able to:
Undergraduate
- Articulate a multicultural vision for the church.
- Identify several models for the local church ministering in the current Culturally and Linguistically Diverse context.
- Outline the major challenges facing churches adopting a multicultural vision.
- Demonstrate awareness of cross-cultural and intercultural issues in leadership, ministry and mission.
- Level 3: Discuss some constructive responses to the issues and challenges identified in 3 and 4 above.
Postgraduate
- Critically discuss a multicultural vision for the church.
- Evaluate several models for the local church ministering in the current Culturally and Linguistically Diverse context.
- Analyse the major challenges facing churches adopting a multicultural vision.
- Demonstrate awareness of cross-cultural and intercultural issues in leadership, ministry and mission.
- Demonstrate an ability to undertake independent research at graduate level.
