Whitley in partnership with the BUV will host an event for Pastors and Church Leaders, to discuss and share on the topic of:
‘Leading when you don’t know where you are going – church in (post)covid times’.
This event will take place at New Hope Baptist Church in Blackburn on Friday 16th September from 9:45am to 3:30pm, and will provide an opportunity to share experiences of how the covid pandemic continues to affect the Church, and also pays attention to developments that were already happening before the pandemic hit. We will hear from experts on the topic who are keen to share their initial perspective to help pave a way into the future.
Mike Frost will be a special guest speaker on the day. Mike is an internationally recognised author, Australian missiologist and one of the leading voices in the missional church movement. His books are required reading in colleges and seminaries around the world. Mike is also the founding director of the Tinsley Institute at Morling College Sydney. He has also been an adjunct lecturer at various seminaries in the US. You can read Mike’s blog here.
Andy Goodliff will also be a keynote speaker on the day. Andy is a Lecturer on Baptist History and Theology at Regent’s Park College at the University of Oxford. He’s also a Baptist Minister, an editor of the Journal for Baptist Theology in Context, co-founder of Theology Live and part of the team overseeing the Baptist Academic Network. Susan Beaumont, who is the author of ‘Leading when you don’t know where you are going’ will provide an online presentation and Q&A live from the US. Susan is a consultant, coach, author and spiritual director, based in the US. You can read more about Susan here.
