We are delighted to welcome Katie Parker to the Whitley team as our new Dean of Students.
Katie is stepping into a newly created role at Whitley, as we strive to provide more support for our students in 2022 and beyond.
Prior to commencing at Whitley, Katie worked in a variety of roles at The Salvation Army. In her 15 years there, Katie was involved in church planting and youth work. Katie along with her husband, led The Salvation Army in the Northern Territory for two years and was also on staff at Eva Burrows College for three years.
During her time at Eva Burrows College Katie gained experience in student support. Katie’s role was focussed on supporting students who were preparing for ordination, and supporting them during their first five years following ordination.
Katie loves to walk alongside people as they explore life and faith and to see them flourish as they learn to live life in all its fullness. Katie is married to Richard and they have three children, Miriam, Hannah and Caleb.
Katie has eased into her role with enthusiasm and grace and we look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students and the college this year.
Whitley College welcomes you Katie!
